Our appointments system aims to offer a consultation with a GP within 48 hours or a nurse within 24 hours.

It is quick and easy to register. You will need to come into the surgery for an application form and then you will be given the relevant details to enable you to set up an account and use the system
Once registered you will be able to view any appointments you have already made, cancel them if necessary, or book a new appointment with the doctor
When you book an appointment online you will receive confirmation which you can print off and bring with you when you attend the surgery. There is no need to reconfirm.
House visits are only available for patients who are housebound because of illness or disability and who are not able to attend the surgery.
If possible please try to telephone reception before 10am if you require a home visit.
A doctor or nurse may phone you back as it may be that your problem can be dealt with by telephone advice, or that it would be more appropriate to send a nurse, or indeed arrange a hospital attendance.
You require a blood test as part of your healthcare.
1. Harrogate Hospital.
Please attend in the OPD Blood Test room from 08:30am to 16:50pm Monday to Friday—Tuesday from 7:30am. Closed—weekends and public holidays. Note that this service is less busy in the afternoons.
2. Sainsbury’s—Wetherby Road, Harrogate
Please attend the Pharmacy Department from 7:30am to 11:00am Monday to Friday. Phlebotomists from Harrogate Hospital are taking the blood samples.
It is essential that you take your blood request form—provided by your GP—with you.

The time to ring for results is after 2.30pm.
The results from medical tests are processed as follows:
Patients should ring for any results; please allow at least five working days for the results to be returned to the surgery - subject to the time estimates above - and for the doctor to see the results and to comment on them.
The treatment in the surgery that is available for visitors to the area:
UK Citizens - can register with the practice as a temporary resident and receive full access to NHS medical services for up to 3 months. For stays longer than 3 months patients must register with the practice.
This includes people who are 'ordinarily resident' in the UK i.e. this is where they have a home or they are here for a 'settled purpose' and have been here for more than 6 months.
Overseas Visitors - all visitors from abroad are entitled to free NHS treatment in case of emergency - the question of whether an emergency has occurred is made by a GP.
If treatment is required for a pre-existing condition or non-emergency, a charge may be made.
Residents of countries in the European Economic Community (excluding the Channel Islands) and where a bilateral healthcare agreement exists are covered by special regulations.
